2015 Oregon State Championship

The 2015 Oregon State Championship ("Oregon Closed") chess tournament was contested as a round-robin the weekends of February 7-8 and 14-15-16, 2015 in Portland as detailed below. Rounds begin at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Grisha Alpernas is the TD and collects the game scores. Players were selected according to the OCF Bylaws.

Usual formats and prizes. Time control of 40/120, SD/60, with 5 second delay. Players in the Championship needed to send a $50 deposit which was returned after completion of all rounds. Prizes are $200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd, $50 for third. Best wishes and Good Luck to you all!

Feb. 7-8 at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Feb. 14-15-16 at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM (except only one round at 5:00 PM on 2/16).

Championship

Congratulations to Nick Raptis for successfully defending his Oregon State chess championship!
Nick also won the Oregon championship in 2001 and 2013-14, and tied with Oleg Zaikov for the championship in 2005.

The Championship has been registered and FIDE rated.
Titles: FM = FIDE Master, NM = USCF National Master, LM = USCF Life Master.
