Congratulations to Oregon State chess champion Nick Raptis! (See below for details.) The 2013 Oregon State Championship ("Oregon Closed") chess tournament was conducted as a round-robin the weekends of February 9-10 and 16-17-18, 2013 in Portland as detailed below. Rounds began at 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Grisha Alpernas was the TD and collected the game scores. Players were selected according to the OCF Bylaws. Players in the Championship need to send a $50 deposit which will be returned after completion of all rounds. Prizes are $200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd, $50 for third.
