Spokane "Out-of-Towner's" Grand Prix

It will run at the same time as the next Spokane Grand Prix from Aug. 1, 2007 thru July 31, 2008 and follows the same scoring rules. The prize however is a bit different. The out-of-town player with the most points will get free entry into ALL NWGP Spokane Chess Club Grand Prix event the following year Aug. 1, 2008 thru July 31, 2009. This is NOT a cash prize and CAN’T be used by anyone else.

Spokane Grand Prix scoring system:

Regular rated games:

1st Overall: 25pts
2nd Overall 15pts
3rd Overall 10pts

Section Winner 5pts
Quad Winner 5pts

Participation: 1pt (no forfeit or withdrawals)
Win 1pt each
Draw .5pt each
Loss no points

Biggest Upset: 2.5pts (established ratings only)
Upset Win .5pt
Upset Draw .25

Rating Bonus: rating as of 8/01/07-7/31/08
For every rating point above your rating as of 8/01/07 you gain an extra .05 added to their Spokane grand prix score (established ratings only)

All games of game 60 or less and quick events are scored with only half of the value in which is listed above.
