Chess play is an on-going activity at the Crossroads Shopping Center every day during regular store hours. Beginning at about 9 AM, you can either sign up for play on the giant 8 foot x 8 foot chess board, or bring your own set, board, and clock and find a game on one of the nearby tables.

Play on the giant board proceeds at a 30 minutes per player per game time control ("action" chess). There is no cover fee or any other charges. Nearby stores offer food, merchandise, and other amenities, including a branch of the King County Public Library with many computer terminals.
