The turnout of 39 players was so high that the usual monthly G/60 event held by the Portland Chess Club was for the March 29, 2014 event turned into a G/45 event and had 5 rounds. As usual the winner was Nick Raptis of Portland. His score was 5-0. Neil Dale of Portland was the tournament director.
