2011 Washington State Individual Championship

The Washington State Individual (Scholastic) Championship was held on Jan. 28-29. There were 76 players in all, 37 in the Open and 39 in the Reserve.

The winners were:

  • in the Open, 1st David Golub 4.5, 2nd Howard Chen 4.5, 3rd David Inglis 4.0. Golub won the title on a tie break.
  • In the Reserve, 1st Marcel Holtman 5.0, 2nd Brenden Kennedy 4.5.

2011 High School State Team Championship

The Washington State High School Team Championship was held at Blaine High School on Feb. 11-12. There were 18 schools and 22 teams.

The winners were:

  • 1st Lakeside (A) (21 points)
